There are several versions of the Perfect Saver. When your computer is inactive, the Perfect Saver will display entertaining and colorful scenes from fine artists. The Perfect Saver lets you control when the screen saver will activate and the length of time that each scene will display before going on to the next scene.
Most of the Perfect Savers use the Fractal Image Format (FIF) to compress the screen images. The FIF compression method is a patented graphic file compression method that is licensed from Iterated Systems,Inc. of Atlanta, GA. The FIF compression method is similar to JPEG in compression size and quality, but the decompression of FIF images is very fast, whereas JPEG compressed images can be very slow to decompress. Compressing the screen saver images means that the Perfect Savers will not fill up your hard drive with large uncompressed images.
To run the Perfect Saver you will need:
- an IBM PC or compatible with a 386 or higher processor
- Windows 3.1 or Windows 95/98 or higher
- a 256 color or higher resolution SVGA video display card
